Kia ora! Welcome to Tettonica.
We’re Bec and Aaron, two super passionate winos and the founders of Tettonica, our third baby.
Drawing on generations of Italian winemaking heritage, we produce unique and vibrant wines under the beautiful Marlborough sun.
'Minimal intervention' are two words that largely sum up our approach to winemaking. We love to experiment with wines and styles, varying and evolving them from vintage to vintage.
Our aim with the wines we produce is for the fruit and the vineyard it hails from to be celebrated and to speak for itself. Therefore, when possible we will refrain from making additions to our wines, depending on the season.
We source certified organic grapes wherever possible and always apply organic practices in the winery across all of our wines.
Our wines are designed to be shared amongst family and friends and enjoyed time and time again!
What is Tettonica?
Tettonica means ‘tectonics’ in Italian. We chose to name our brand Tettonica due to Marlborough and New Zealand’s geographical location.
Famously centred between the Pacific and Australian tectonic plates, we are situated on land emitting tremendous energy! We love to think that energy emits into our wine.
While Marlborough has always been home for Bec, Aaron has a strong Sicilian heritage and brings his own special energy to our wines, an energy that has been passed down through three generations of family winemakers.
